The florists' son went to see flowers
Yeejia brought me to Rotterdam last weekend. I said that she brought me there because she was the one who had booked our bus tickets as well as lodging while me, I had taken no part at all in the preparation. I packed my bag fifteen minutes before leaving for the bus station with not much idea what we were going to do in Holland except that a visit to a tulip garden was in store.
The tulip garden is called Keukenhof. It's apparently pretty famous because I did a search for 'Keukeurnof' to confirm its name and google asked me if I meant 'Keukenhof'. I wonder if someone had googled for 'che', whether google would have asked him if he meant 'chye'. The only chance of that happening will require that I at least fight a guerilla war in Singapore, get photographed by chance at a rally with my deeply passionate look I seldom reveal in public and usurp che guevara in reputation. The likelihood of that happening is as high as my ear hole closing tomorrow.
I seldom carry with me expectations when I leave on a trip but this one to Keukenhof had me dreaming of standing in the middle of a sea of tulips. Expectations are seldom met and neither did this one. Keukenhof, in my opinion, was more like our botanical garden with colours added to the green. We did, however, get to a river width away from a sea of tulips but the photos below don't really do justice to themselves without a chye in the middle, do they?:D
Will post more photos from the trip after I negotiate the last week of school term next week. Holiday beckons.
